Forearm Roll

Stand behind the receiver. Angle your forearm to target the shoulder muscles right behind the top of the shoulder. Roll the forearm from the neck to the shoulder. Stop right before the shoulder bone because bone-on-bone hurts. Start with the palm facing down. If you start with the palm facing up there’s not much room to roll.

It feels lighter when you use the area closer to the wrist and deeper closer to the elbow. If the receiver wants more pressure, stand closer and use the area closer to the elbow, and lean in to use your body weight. Make sure your hand is relaxed.

Forearm Saw Shoulder

Define the area between the neck and the shoulder bone and draw an imaginary zigzag. Go back and forth on the shoulder with your forearm in a sawing motion. Make sure you don’t go over the shoulder bone because it hurts. Instead of sliding over the shirt, think of moving the muscles underneath. If the receiver wants more pressure, stand closer and use the area closer to the elbow.

Forearm Spread Shoulder

Put your forearm at the base of the neck with your palm facing up. Spread the shoulder by sliding and rotating your forearm. Do not go over the shoulder bone because it hurts. You can do one side at a time or both sides at the same time.

Thai Chop

Stand behind the receiver. Loosely put your hands together. With the relaxed hands and wrists, chop the receiver’s neck in a light rhythmic motion with the sides of your hands. You can also chop with alternating hands. Again keep your wrists loose and just use the weight of your hands to chop your partner’s neck.

Decrease the chopping height for lighter pressure and increase the chopping height for more pressure.
