About this course
When you have certain symptom(s), look at the chart and see which organ has the most symptoms applicable to your condition. There are different ways to approach to care for your conditions.
Either way, the subject organ's energy will be restored by reinforcing or reducing the energy of the other organs to restore the balance. You can choose either way to restore balance for the organ of concern.
1. Generating Cycle Approach
Looking at this Generating Cycle, we will normalize the subject organ's Deficient or Excess energy by energizing its mother or reducing the energy of its child.
For example, let's say the organ that has the most of your symptoms is Heart.
According to the Generating Cycle of the Five Element Theory, the Heart's mother is Liver and the Heart's child is Spleen.
Earlier in the course, you looked at your body type.
If your body type is Deficiency, press the Primary point of the Heart's mother which is Liver and its associated organ Gall Bladder with Reinforcing method. Mother will always try to nurture its child. By stimulating and sending energy to the mother Liver, it will nurture its child Heart to raise the child's deficient energy.
If your body type is Excess, press the Primary point of the Heart's child which is Spleen and its associated organ Stomach with the Reducing method. Again, mother will try to nurture its child. By reducing the energy of the child Spleen, you are making the mother Heart use its excess energy to nurture its child. As a result, the Heart's energy will be reduced and normalized.
2. Controlling Cycle Approach
While the balance of Generating Cycle is maintained by a mother nurturing her child, Controlling Cycle's balance is maintained when a grandmother is well controlling her grandchild (like grandma disciplining her grandchild).
Let's say the organ of concern is Liver based on your symptoms.
Its grandmother is Lung.
If your body type is Deficiency:
If your body type is Deficiency, stimulate the grandmother Lung and its associated hollow organ Large Intestine with the Reducing method.
When the Liver is deficient, grandmother Lung becomes seemingly too strong to control the Liver. That's why it's necessary to reduce the energy of grandmother Lung with Reducing method.
You can also combine the Generating Cycle approach and stimulate the Liver's mother Kidney with Reinforcing method so that the mother Kidney will send energy to nurture the Liver.
If your body type is Excess:
If your body type is Excess, stimulate the grandmother Lung and its associated hollow organ Large Intestine with the Reinforcing method.
When the Liver is excess, strengthen the grandmother Lung to control the energy of the Liver.
You can also combine the Generating Cycle approach and stimulate the Liver's child Heart with Reducing method so that the mother Liver will send its excess energy to nurture its child.
