Finger Slide Neck

Sit by your partner's head lying face up. Place your hands underneath the partner's head with your fingertips at the bottom of the neck. Slide your fingers from the base of the neck all the way to the base of the skull. Instead of just using the hands move your torso to save your hands and fingers. Stay on the neck muscles next to the spine. To increase the pressure curl your fingers and slowdown. In general it feels deeper when you slow down. The receivers neck should be completely relaxed too because the weight of the receiver’s head also gives a pressure. To reduce the pressure flatten your fingers.

Skull Base Rock

Place your hands underneath the partner's head with your fingertips at the base of the skull. Match the breathing and as you both exhale slightly pull the skull base with your fingertips. Move your torso slightly as you pull. You’re gently stretching the neck muscles. As you can see you do not need much movement here.

Circle Skull Base

Place your hands underneath the partner’s head with your fingertips at the base of the skull. Circle the base of the skull with the closed fingertips. Make several circles and repeat as you move along the base of the skull. The neck muscles attached to the base of the skull and often people don't realize how much tension they carry in this area until touched. To increase the pressure curl your fingers and slow down. To reduce the pressure flatten your fingers.

Fist Glide Neck & Shoulder

Gently turn the partners head to one side. Make a loose fist and glide between the base of the skull and the shoulder. Since it's a gliding technique use a massage oil or lotion to void burning the skin. Stand the neck muscles behind the ears. The receiver should tell the giver if it feels nervy because that means, you're pressing on the nerve too hard. If your hand is too big for this area or if the receiver cannot turn the neck comfortably to expose the neck muscles, skip this move and go to the next one. If the partner wants more pressure slow down and lean in more. Gently move the partners head back to the center. Repeat on the other side.
